Mike Hewitt has over twenty years of experience in  the hospitality industry, ranging from operations, brand development, human  resources, building and scaling small companies, consulting and recruiting . With this extensive insight ranging from  fine dining to fast casual, large restaurant groups to single mom & pop  operations, Mike brings a deep understanding of operator needs, having been  there once himself. Mike’s approach to recruiting focuses on assessing company culture and honing in on a particular candidates’ specific skill set to make the right  match. Mike is the host of RECRUIT.RETAIN.RELAX radio show on Heritage Radio Network. He has a post graduate degree in Hotel & Restaurant  Management from  the Ecole Hoteliere de  Lausanne.


President- One Haus

Agatha Kavanaugh is President of One Haus and has led the company from a NYC based boutique hospitality recruitment agency to a national brand with locations in Los Angeles, Austin, Dallas, Miami and Connecticut. She has helped to build infrastructure, systems and policies while also spearheading the company's internal recruitment of team members. Additionally, she personally leads the firm's most critical corporate and unit level recruitment needs for high-level hotel and restaurant clients.  Before joining One Haus, Agatha was a corporate trainer for LA-based Hillstone Restaurant Group and a private equity analyst researching and recommending investments in the hospitality sector. Agatha’s background in financial research  and consulting brings a strategic eye towards identifying and retaining top talent. Based in Austin, she holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Political Science from UCLA.  


Vice President of Recruitment

Our Vice President of Recruitment, Tammy Hart grew up in the Low country of South Carolina where her culinary interests were instilled early on. Tammy moved to New York City in 2005, where she held front of house leadership roles as Manager and Beverage Director among others and boasts 10 years’ experience in operational roles at some of NYC’s most celebrated restaurants such as Prune, Reynard, and The Cannibal. A serious meat enthusiast and die-hard nose to tail philosopher, Tammy also served as assistant manager at Marlow and Daughters, a whole animal butcher shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Her proven track record of system implementation, training and team building positions her as an ideal operator at One Haus. Tammy leads new recruiter training and onboarding as well as advises our national team of directors and mentees. She additionally leads the New York division of recruitment and market development.  In her spare time, you can find her spending quality time with her wife and their son Rocco, dining at one of her favorite local restaurants, geeking out about wine, or exploring the booming Hudson Valley and Catskills restaurant scene.


Director of Recruitment

Martha Madison is a Texas native and a graduate of Texas A&M University. Since earning her degree in Psychology, she has worked in all levels of restaurant management. Starting as a bartender in NYC in 2000, Martha worked and trained under the world renowned mixologist, Julie Reiner. For the next three years, she worked her way from Bar Management to General Management, and in 2003, opened Luna Park Restaurant in Los Angeles with her husband.  Together they opened and operated 5 more restaurants throughout LA, San Francisco and NYC where she served as VP and Director of Operations for the Luna Park Restaurant Group. Martha is best described as a "people person" as she loves to discover and cultivate what makes each individual "tick". Based in Los Angeles, Martha enjoys movies, traveling, date nights and spending time outdoors with her husband, daughter and Weimeraner, Henry!



Having over 15 years experience in the restaurant industry, Ryan started his love for the business in a 120 year-old Inn in his hometown of Pinehurst, North Carolina when he was 16.  Also playing professional golf on a mini circuit based out of Charlotte, NC for a few years he found he needed to bartend to make some extra money between tournaments.  Since, Ryan has managed a wide range of restaurants and bars between Charlotte and New York City.  Ryan’s passion for the hospitality business and the understanding for Operations made him want to move to New York City to further his career.  He has worked with award winning chef Einat Admony,  Williamsburg’s Berry Park and most recently with Restaurant tycoon Stephen Starr acting as onboarding & orientations manager for STARR Restaurants at  Buddakan.  Ryan’s other passion, travel, has trekked him to five different continents and over 25 countries.  He also enjoys to play golf, basketball,  hiking, live shows and enjoys his occasional beach trips during his free time.


Originally from Los Angeles, Hanae received a grant to teach for the Spanish Ministry of Education in Madrid where she became captivated by the local gastronomic culture. After attending the 2 year culinary program at Escuela de Cocina Luis Irizar in San Sebastian, she apprenticed and worked at acclaimed restaurants such as: Akelarre - San Sebastian, Daniel - NYC, and Lukshon - Los Angeles. Shortly afterwards, Hanae pursued her growing interest in restaurant operations in L.A. as Dining Room Manager at Innovative Dining Group's BOA Steakhouse, Assistant General Manager atDominick's Est.1948, Assistant General Manager at Spago Beverly Hills, and General Manager at ink. Her first-hand experience, passion for hospitality, and love of fostering connections has lead her to an exciting  career in talent recruitment and requisition. Outside of work, Hanae loves to stay fit with weightlifting and hot yoga. On the weekends, you'll likely find her testing spicy comfort food recipes from around the world, trying a new wine varietal, or catching a showing of a new indie horror film at Alamo Drafthouse.
